Interactive Program Guide

JetBroadband's Interactive Program Guide is a unique and intuitive interactive navigation platform designed to optimize Motorola-based digital cable set-tops. The comprehensive product platform includes an interactive guide, channel browsing features, and user settings including parental control.

Banner Browsing:
The Interactive Program Guides's Channel Banner provides is a great way to see what's happening on the current show or shows on other channels. The banner provides information such as

  • The current time, title and length of a show
  • channel call letters and number
  • Show rating
  • Parental control, favorite channel, and skipped channel indicators
  • The price of a PPV movie offering

Quick Info™:
The QuickInfo feature expands the Channel Banner to provide all of the information of a standard channel banner plus several lines of detailed program descriptions.

The Guide:
The program guide allows you to find any show by time with five lines of guide information and a 1 1/2 hour viewing window, by theme with multiple categories, or through a quick title search feature.

Title Search:
The intelligent title search feature allows you to type in titles through an on-screen virtual keyboard with your remote to quickly find a particular show.

Settings Menu:
The Settings Menu allows a viewer to fine tune the capabilities of the program guide. Settings for Parental Control, Language, and Closed Captions can be accessed through this menu.

Parental Control :
With the Parental Control customers can restrict viewing of certain channels, titles, ratings, and programs during a certain time period. Additionally, PPV (Pay-Per-View) program purchases can be restricted through the parental control setup.

Digital Video Recorder

With JetBroadband's Digital Video Recorder, why just watch TV shows when you can control them with your remote!

Finding TV Shows:

Finding TV shows is easy with the Program Guide. Browse for shows sorted by Time or Theme, or search for shows by title or keyword.

Saving TV Shows:

Shows can be saved using the Program Guide, by setting up a manual recording, or by pressing the RECORD key while watching a TV show.

Viewing Saved Shows:

Shows that have been saved can be accessed at any time from the Saved Shows Display.

Managing Saved Shows:

Saved shows can be automatically erased as space is needed for new recordings, or saved until you erase them manually.  Use the Saved Show Display to manage your library of saved shows.

Manage Your Series Recordings:

Episodes of a series will not be saved if more than two scheduled recordings overlap.  Use the Series Manager to determine how to resolve recording conflicts.

Manage Your Upcoming Recordings:

Your Scheduled Recordings list lets you see what upcoming shows are scheduled to be recorded, and also lets you cancel upcoming recordings.

Video Output Formats:

Use this preference to select an Output Format supported by your TV and to determine how to output non-conforming video.
