What equipment is required?

If you have an HDTV, all you need to do is call JetBroadband and sign up for JetBroadband HD service to swtich to an HD box.

How does installation work?

JetBroadband will switch out your current box for an HD box, that's it! If you are technically savy, then you may opt to do self installation as well.

Will I get my local HD broadcast channels in HD?

Yes, JetBroadband brings you ABCHD, CBSHD, NBCHD, FOXHD, and PBSHD. See your local channel lineup for the full listing of HD channels. 

What sports and movies are available in HD?

JetBroadband currently offers sports and movies in HD from channels such as ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, ESPN, ESPN2, Outdoor Channel, HBO, Showtime, and Starz. See your local channel lineup for the full listing of HD channels.

How do I know I'm watching HD?

Your HD channels are different than your ordinary channels. If you are used to watching ESPN on channel 31, ESPNHD could be on channel 731. Check your local channel lineup for the full listing of HD channels.

Are more channels coming?

Yes, JetBroadband is committed to working with each of our programming partners to make availiable the channels and content you want.

How does HD pricing work?

JetBroadband doesn't charge additional programming fees for HD channels and content. If you receive the channel currently and the channel is availiable in HD.... all you need is an HD box!

Is there really a noticeable difference between HDTV and regular analog TV?

Yes. HDTV allows you to experience more of the TV picture with a wider viewing area, life-like detailed picture quality and Dolby surround sound

Can I get non-HD channels with an HD cable box?

Yes. Our HD cable set-top box will allow high-definition televisions to display all our cable channels.


Will all the programs on the HD channels be high-definition?

No. Currently, the program must be produced using HD technology. Some programs produced in film are now being converted to HD.

Can I get DVR (Digital Video Recorder) for HD?


Yes. We offer HD-DVRs. You can record up to 80 hours of standard programming with an HD-DVR. Go to the package & pricing page for your area to see if DVR for HD is available in your area. 

Can you recommend a High-Definition Television set?

Every buyer is different, and everyone has different needs, so you'll need to shop around in stores, online and ask your friends.

What is a Digital Video Recorder (DVR)?

DVR is a set-top box that records TV programs in a digital format to a disk drive or other memory medium within a device. You can also pause and rewind live TV.

What is the difference between a DVR and a TiVo?

TiVo is a brand of DVR, like iPod is a brand of MP3 player.

What does a DVR do?

A JetBroadband DVR-enabled set-top box puts TV on your schedule so you can watch what you want, when you want to watch it. Using your remote control, you can set it to automatically find and digitally record your favorite shows. DVR also gives you the power to pause live TV, create instant replays, fast-forward and rewind through your recorded program and tape two shows at the same time. Unlike other DVR brands, JetBroadband customers do not need to buy the equipment.
