JetBroadband is undertaking a huge
upgrade initiative in most areas we serve.
We have hired local contractors to do the necessary upgrade work. Those contractors and all employees of JetBroadband are committed to keeping outages to a minimum. As a matter of fact, we have agreed to pay these workers extra so all scheduled outages are completed between 2am and 5am to minimize the inconvenience to our customers.
JetBroadband is investing millions of dollars in your local community. We have hired local engineers, contractors and technicians to complete the upgrade. The money we invest in your community will help the local economy. When you purchase video from a satellite dish provider, your money leaves the local community. JetBroadband has BIG plans to increase local programming, local weather, news & other local information resources. Also JetBroadband will offer you bundled packages of Video and Data Access (and in the future, even voice communications). We will offer special discounts when all three are purchased together and we will put them on one convenient bill. You won't find all of these offers from a satellite provider. JetBroadband also will offer you Video On Demand, an interactive product that you can't get with satellite service.
Often a new cable outlet is required, but
this may differ from household to household.
The cable modem is an external device
that connects to your computer's 10-base T Ethernet port. You
can do it yourself, or have us do it for a small installation fee.
One of the advantages of using JetBroadband High Speed Internet service is that, in most cases, it uses the existing cable that is already in your home. This cable is capable of carrying both video signals and data signals at the same time. While it may appear that you only need to install a splitter on the existing cable, due to the potential of introducing "noise" or interference into the cable system, JetBroadband may require the installation of a data outlet in a secondary location. A technician will determine the best solution for your situation.
Since both data and television signals travel on the same physical cable, you may require a cable splitter to provide multiple connections. To avoid the potential of introducing noise to the system, a cable technician may install a cable outlet or splitter in the second location.
If your cable service isn't working, your cable Internet service will most likely be inaccessible as well. If the cable service is down, we will work diligently to restore both services, but if the problem persists after cable connectivity has been restored, please call Technical Support.
